'Ryfylkeveien', the Ryfylke Road, Rv13 northwards from Sandnes to Røldal through Ryfylke's varied fjord
landscape and Rv520 over the mountain in Sauda is a fascinating trip with many experiences.
The stretch is a prospective national tourist road.
The Ryfylke road goes from renowned Lysefjord in the south, over Sauda and Røldal mountain all the way to Røldal in Hardanger in the north. The journey is approx. 180 km.
Places to see along the way are for example Lysefjord by sightseeing boat, or a walk along the fjord. A walk to Preikestolen, or what about the slightly tougher walk to Kjerag at the inner end of Lysefjord?
Preikestolen Fjellstue is also worth seeing.
